Thanks to funding from The Ballantine Family Fund to support kindergarten readiness, The Early Childhood Council of La Plata County is partnering with Pine River Library to provide workshops for parent/informal caregivers and their preschool age children prior to entering kindergarten.  The six Play & Learn Workshops will focus on key categories of kindergarten readiness and share developmentally appropriate activities that will support growth in early literacy, math, motor and social emotional skills.  The focus will be on children who are not currently enrolled in preschool, to ensure they receive similar types of kindergarten readiness support.
