Curbside Service

What can you still do curbside?

  • Pick up and return materials
  • Have documents printed, faxed, and copied
  • Borrow laptops for use in the library parking lot with the library’s WiFi signal
  • Limited access (half hour) to desktop computers inside library by appointment
  • Quick “in-and-out” use of the DMV Kiosk
  • Request one of our Take and Make Kits for kids and teens/adults
  • Get help with your tech questions via phone or Zoom
  • Have library staff recommend items based on your interests and tastes
  • NEW! 15 minute browsing appointments to checkout materials inside the library, one household at a time.

We ask that you please wear a mask while interacting with library staff during curbside service.-

You can request up to 15 items at a time through the following methods:

  • Online library catalog: Search the catalog and request items by placing a hold with your Pine River Library card number.
  • Email: Email your requests to Please include your name, and if known, your library card number.
  • Fill out our form: You can can request up to 15 items via our online form (see bottom of this page) and also ask for “librarian’s choice” i.e. all-ages recommendations for what to read, watch, or listen to next! This form is also located at the bottom of this page.
  • Call the library: Call us at (970) 884-2222 ext. 1 to request items. If we don’t answer right away, please leave a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can!

Staff will reach out to you after your request with information about the availability of your requested items. 

Please return all materials through the book drop just outside the main library door. The library will continue to quarantine all returns for 72 hours before checking them in.

We are also offering curbside pickup for your print jobs. Please email the documents you want printed to and we will print them when you arrive at the library. You can also upload them directly to the printer using our Mobile Printing System. Need something copied, scanned, or faxed? We are happy to take the documents inside and complete the tasks for you with the upmost respect for your privacy and personal information. If you prefer to do your own copying, faxing, or scanning you can always request a 15 minute appointment to come inside, one household at at time.

We are now allowing patrons to come inside the library, one household at a time, for 15 minute windows to checkout materials. Call the library at 970-884-2222 ext. 1 to check availability.

Need to use a computer for a few hours? We are also offering Chromebook lending for use our parking lot during the library’s open hours. These basic laptops can be used to access the Internet through our free WiFi signal.

If you prefer to use the computers inside the library they are available on a limited basis by appointment for half an hour slots. Please call the library at 970-884-2222 ext. 1 to check availability.

The DMV kiosk will also be available for quick drop-in use for license plate tag renewal. Please call the library at 970-884.2222 ext. 1 when you arrive in the parking lot to arrange to be let inside.

Looking for fun activities for everyone in the family? Along with curbside materials, we’ll also be distributing “Take and Make” kits for both kids and adults. These kits include everything from early literacy learning materials and S.T.E.A.M. activities for kids to recipes and D.I.Y. projects for adults. Ask us what our latest offerings are- we try to have at least two different kits per month for both kids and adults!
